It is some time since Jez Lowe performed for his many fans in Lichfield, so we are delighted that this fine singer/songwriter, who also happens to play guitar/cittern, will be bringing his full band. They are: Kate Bramley fiddle/vocals, Andy May Northumbrian pipes/accordion and David de la Haye fretless bass.
Their lively music respects the traditions of Northumbrian and Celtic but are written in a contemporary toe-tapping vein.
They have toured all over the world appearing at all the major festivals with wonderful reviews by all the critics. To quote Richard Thompson: “He is one the best songwriters to come out of England.” or “These splendid musicians combine to produce something very special, easy to enjoy but hard to define.”

Michael Roach
Friday 26th March8.30pm
Tickets: £12/£11 concs/£10 members/ £6 students
We welcome back this superb blues guitarist and singer who lives in the Cotswolds! He isn't your standard singer - the man we are talking about is African-American and sings and plays guitar in an East Coast style of blues that dates back to the 1920s. He plays 6-string and 12-string Gibson guitar and National steel guitar, in a wide variety of styles and techniques.
Too restless, enthusiastic and inventive to be a mere copyist, Michael composes his own blues and songs from his personal experience, of which a number can be heard on his well received second album 'The Blinds Of Life'.
To use just one review: “This was a wonderful full on performance by this excellent country blues guitarist. Catch him when you can!”
